Call for Nominations – Faculty Member to Board of Governors
Call for nominations for a faculty member to serve on the University of Saskatchewan Board of Governors. The term of the appointment is for three (3) years, from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.
The nominations must be signed by three eligible faculty members of the General Academic Assembly and the nominee shall indicate acceptance of the nomination. A faculty member, as described in Section 2 (h) in The University of Saskatchewan Act, 1995, is "a person who is employed on a full-time basis by the university or an affiliated or federated college and who serves as a professor, associate professor, assistant professor, lecturer, full-time special lecturer, full-time instructor, librarian or extension specialist". In accordance with past practice “full time” will encompass faculty members and librarians who have continuing appointments.
Nominations should be submitted to the University Secretary and Chief Governance Officer not later than May 9, 2025 at 4:00 PM at governance.office@usask.ca.
About the Election Process:
For election, voting is conducted online after the nomination deadline. As per past practices, votes will be tallied using a Ranked-Choice voting (RCV) process. Eligible faculty members will be notified by email when the elections are open.
