Mike Marsh
Elected by the SenateMarsh earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan (USask) in 1979 and later obtained a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University in 1999.
With over 40 years of construction, operational and corporate experience, Marsh has worked on corporate governance development, business and planning process improvements, and capital project evaluations together with financial review and reporting processes. He was on the executive leadership team at SaskPower for 15 years, where he served seven years as president and chief executive officer before he retired in December of 2021.
Marsh has extensive experience working with boards for industry associations and not-for-profit organizations. He has been a member of the Dean’s advisory board in the USask College of Engineering since 2018 and is currently also a member of the STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service) and is Chair of the Safety & Risk Committee. He also served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Electricity Canada (formerly the Canadian Electricity Association).
In 2018, Marsh was honoured as the Distinguished Lecturer at the USask College of Engineering’s 42nd annual C.J. Mackenzie Gala of Engineering Excellence.
